Shane Weir

Shane qualified as a solicitor, barrister and notary public in Canada in 1978.  He established Weir & Associates in Hong Kong in 1985 and was admitted as a Solicitor in England, Wales and Hong Kong in 1992.  He currently practices commercial, tax, pension, property, securities and banking law. He has established and acts as trustee for numerous charitable trusts in Asia and acts as legal adviser for numerous corporations and associations.

Shane is an active member of various chambers of commerce and industry associations.  He is Hong Kong’s national president of the World Jurist Association and sits on the Standards and Development Committee of The Law Society of Hong Kong. He is also Chairman of the Law Society Committee considering multi-jurisdiction partnerships.
